On March 17 and 18 local time, the Nairyah 2 and Rumah 2 projects in Saudi Arabia, both contracted by Harbin Electric International (HEI), successfully completed the first steel structure lift for their respective water treatment plant buildings. This milestone marks the projects' formal transition from underground foundation work into the above-ground structural installation phase, laying a solid foundation for the steady advancement of subsequent construction activities.

As a core ancillary facility of the power station, the water treatment plant serves as the critical hub for maintaining plant-wide water and steam quality and ensuring stable plant operation. It sits on the project's ICOD critical path, meaning its construction and installation schedule has a direct bearing on the commissioning and operation of the entire downstream system. The successful completion of the first steel structure lift represents not only a pivotal turning point in the construction focus shifting from below grade to above grade, but also a comprehensive validation of the project team's end-to-end work across pre-construction planning, on-site management, and technical support—firing the opening shot for the large-scale steel structure installation and main structural construction work to follow.
